Safeguarding Our Elections
Jews supporting democracy!
Since the beginning of our country, members of the Jewish community have organized and advocated for a responsive democracy that represented and protected the rights of all individuals - whether they were citizens or not.
We are seeing significant threats to this way of thinking; thus, we need to work harder to protect our democracy - especially at our polling places.
For those of you who can, here are a three ways that you might consider supporting free and fair elections:
Be a poll worker to help ensure smooth, secure voting operations.
Legal professionals can support election officials through the Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN).
Jewish clergy can volunteer as poll chaplains to provide a calming & supportive presence at polling locations.
Each of these positions can play a role in protecting the integrity of our elections and ensuring that democracy works for everyone.
